Striping tape with L+P

I have done a lovely set of nails today but had a nighmare with striping tape. I did the design in l&p and then put on the striping tape before capping with clear but the stripping tape would not stick it kept sticking up at the edges even after i tried to cap in clear it kept sticking up.

How do you other techs use this when using l&p?:irked:

Did you put the tape on straight after your acrylic? try buffing smooth first. I havent tried it tbh just an idea

i just did a set like this about 2 days ago. when i put top coat over the mylar strips i will hold the ends down with a orangewood stick. once the topcoat is reasonably set i'll add a little more topcoat to fill in the dents i made while holding the ends down. HTH

I was having same trouble.But now before i add the gloss gel I put the stripping tape under it.If the edges start to turn up I get a tooth pick dab it into nail glue and put it at the edge.Then apply the gloss gel.
My only trouble is actually stripping.The tape is so fine and It takes forever.
