i love reading or hearing about peoples success stories about they changed careers, struggled to set up a business, what they did, how hard it is, how they coped, how their so happy today and made themselves/it a success etc

it always gives me motivation and inspiration

just wondered if anybody on here has any stories to tell?

maybe i'll be writing one one day :) x

ss yet, but a story.

I've always loved nails, hair and beauty. I wanted to do beauty therapy at college when I left school but parents weren't happy about that so I did business instead.

Started going to a salon regularly and got quite jealous of the girls working there. I said to my friend that I'd love to do that but I'm too old(29). She said don't be stupid, just do it.

I found a 6 week Saturday class at one of the colleges on gel nails back in April/May this year and found this site at the same time. Been hooked ever since.

Now I'm at college doing recognised courses in NQ Nail Care, NQ Nail Extensions in December then Artificial Nail Structures next year. Also doing eyelash extensions and spray tan training this Monday which I'm so excited about.

Ordered business cards and got Ruth working on my website. As soon as I've got them I'll be handing them out to everyone. I still have my day job. My plan is to build up my client base so much that I'll be able to leave the day job and do mobile full time. Maybe even set up a room at home or maybe rent a room. Then I'll be writing a success story.

Mines a bit long and boring. Started at 16. worked my way up. Bought my first salon at 30. second at 33 third at 36. Just worked and worked relentlessly.
Anyway how do you judge success? Some on here are successful because they completed their training and done their first paying client.
A triumph is a triumph at whichever stage you're at
