Im a competant spray tan technician and after hearing about Tantrick on this site I decided to send off for some samples. I received a sample of all products and decided to use the autum gold as alot of geeks have raved about it. I applied the autum gold on one of my clients and the coverage was lovely apart from patchyness on her thighs and lower arms. Now I can hear you all saying its the application and I will be the first to hold my hands up if it is, but as I said Im very competant at tans. So I wanted to ask if anyone else has had this problem with Autum gold as I really want to buy the product and use it, but Im worried that the outcome will be the same.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Like you have said it could be your application but as you sound so confident in your application i would say it was your client who didn't exfoliate enough,
we all have dry skin at this time of year and a more thorough prep is required for spray tans,
i work with all the tantrick solutions almost every day and have never had a problem with patchiness hth

Thanks Lou, I will give it another go with the essence of summer and see what happens.

With the essence of summer you need to remember that less is more with this solution,
the guide colour is quite light but develops into a beautiful natural shade, just trust your own skills when applying this one

could it be that it was still a bit damp before the customer putted her clothes on?

Hi Chilli, What tan are u normally using? I have switched to tantrick, its a high end product, professional company. You should note that the autumn gold is a 10.5 DHA%, its also waterbased so dries quickly, and most importantly is has very little colour guide (no brown sheets). Re: application: when I first used it I sprayed slower than normal becuase there was little colour guide and product patched, spray evenually and trust the product and your own skill. It also has a xmassy smell which is nice for this time of the year.

It could be possible your client had dry spots, make sure they moisturize and/or tell you if they have dry skin.
