anyone ever had laser removal of a tattoo? how expensive is it? and does it work, and how many treatments needed?
x

it depends what type of tattoo you have, meaning is it home made or professional, which colours were used, etc.

I had a consultation done a few years ago, I have a small heart and was told that it would take about 8 treatments (£40 each).

didnt like the person doing the consultation and would have got a 2nd opinion if I had decided to go ahead.

their are places affiliated with hospitals, and if I was going to go ahead I would consider going with them rather than 'beauty clinics' - that advertise on TV.

My brother had tattoo laser done in denmark and it cost him a fortune and then they dont get rid of certain colours ,only fade them.....he took photos of his arm when he had them done and it looked like a huge blister....for the next 2 weeks he would be awake itching his arm and feeling it throbing and burning from the pain....

My brother is very strong and the pain of this laser treatment made him so he does not have it no more.....not only does it cost but his arm was very bad and some of the green bit of the tattoo is is visible......

He does not have it done now as he use to have to brace himself as it was that painfull.....so if your still going to have it then make sure your pain barrier is good as i see the pic's and heard first hand how painfull it is.

I know someone who had it and she said the pain of the laser was way worse then getting the tattoo.

Also, all her tattoo didn't remove either. I think it looks worse now than the tattoo did. There's bits and pieces of it left - it looks like someones taken a marker to her foot and scribbled some lines on it here and there.

thanks for the replies
i know laser wont remove green and red, the two colours in my tattoo! but theres a new method
Home page
im not sure what its like and everything. i dont mind my tattoo too much really, its just too big for me, it about 2inches long id prefer it to be smaller but i can live with it.... it needs retouching though as its patchy, so it would be cheaper to do that i suppose!

Whatever you do do not use Eraze its not good and doesent give good results we have used it and are not impressed with the results .
Lazer is the best way to rmove Tattoos
Anyone going to have a tattoo removed by laser must check that they are Healthcare Commission approved .
The new Q Swith Laser is the best at the moment .
Laser will remove green and red but it does take time .
Do not look for the cheapest person to do the laser treatment you really do get what you pay for .

Hi Ruby.....do you have a home page on this Q swith laser as it would be interesting to see????.....the red and green colours use to contain metal, this is why they are the hardest to get rid off.....my brother did not get rid of his, just fade them.
