sorry to be dumb, but reading through the threads some people mention using the flag of the brush. Which part of the brush is this? Again sorry to be dumb

The flag is the end of your brush, the middle is the belly and the end which is encased is the ferul. HTH

Ooh David! You know your stuff! Well done. I'm also the person who likes to know and understand such 'talk'!

As an addition: the 'belly' is the place that can hold liquid as a resevoir (wrong spelling!!!). Koilinsky sable has a structure that can hold a huge amount of liquid plus have an excellent 'snap' in the flag (this means good pressure on the end) This type of natural hair is perfect as an acrylic brush as it provides a good pressure for shaping and will 'feed' the bead if necessary. The brush should never be dipped back into the liquid to smooth the surface. This will alter the ratio.
