Thick toenails

What do you do with a client that has really thick toenails? Sometimes I see people with such thick ones I can barely cut them!

My mom has a couple of thick ones. Hers cant be cut due to the thickness so i have to file them. They do make a set of clippers that look like big nippers that can cut some thicker nails but not all. If not, I would file them.

If they are painful or impossible to cut I'd recommend them to a chiropodist or podiatrist.Our job really is to beautify feet not foot health.There is only so much we should be doing.
