hi
i have been working for my salon for 4 years and have never had a pay rise. i worked full-time went on maternity leave after 6 months part-time. since then i have built up clients , learnt new skills i.e threading , been on training courses ( which most where free or all ) . also i do not recieve the perks i use like i can never get anyone to do my laser treatments ( 50% discount) and feel my invested money even if it is cheap has been wasted becouse i can not get the regular treatments. we have been under new managment for over a year .
i know its a recession but we are just as busy maybe more. oh and the discounted treatments have to be in are own time. my average wage is about 7.10 an hour. i just dont know how to go about it do i ask manager or owner ?

I agree with you Doz_l
If you don't ask then you certainly don't get. They will be happy with you plodding along on the same wage if they think you are.
I would speak to your boss and just say to him 'Am I entitled to a pay rise yet as I have been here 4 years' Closed questions you gotta love em :) xxx

Does it say anything in your contract about frequency of pay rises? check and see, it might give you some ammunition when talking to the boss!
