Tips for building new clientele?

I used to work out of home and have recently moved into a beautiful salon which meant my prices went up. Majority of my clientele were friends and in college and I'm finding it difficult as they expect me to do freebies or cut my prices-which I don't.. As it's MY job and passion.

I'm wanting to pretty much start building a brand new serious clientele and hoping any of you have some great tips?
