Tips for hand painting stars

ive been asked to do a set of nails with stars on the ring fingers. I use shellac & i dont have a konad plate with stars on, thanks in advance

I have recently been practising these using either the sharp end of an orange stick or the smallest dotting tool, I dip the end in the polish then draw an X and then pull up with the point of the stick from the centre of the X at the top and then the same thing pulling down from the centre on the bottom and this gives me a nice star, hope this makes sense so hard trying to explain things lol
