hi im new to this site and this is my first post. i have very bad toenails and am off on holiday soon with my friends. my little toe nails are very small indeed and my big toe nails are very very short. both of my middle toenails are also damaged. are false toe nails still an option for me and does anyone know about good practioners in my area i should contact? thanks so much

hi steph yes u can stil have false toenails ur best bet is to find a salon offering sculptured toes as u say they are quite damaged, sculptured would not do any further damage as there is no glue involved and the nail can be easily extended with acrylic or gel and they can last up to 6 weeks. Im not from your area so i couldnt reccommend anyone but look on the net for a list ov local salons and give them a call to find out if they do offer sculptured toes.hope this helps. x

sculptured would not do any further damage as there is no glue involved

I just have to comment on this, the glue (or adhesive I believe is the right term) isn't causing any damage at all, and both sculpted and tipped toes should be equally strong (and not damaging at all) but I agree that sculpting would be easier on toes...

i live in new brighton...... if you could let me know where she is?? thanks so much for your responses x

dont get acrylic on toes what ever you do!! it'll be like kicking a brick wall causes lots of damage.
gel on toes cos its more flexible x
