Training Help Needed.....

Hello All,

I am very new to this so please bear with me...

I am looking for training in all aspects in Beauty Therapy and Nails....I ideally want to become a mobile therapist...

I am a beginner but I would say I have a great beginner knowledge in Beauty and Nails and could easily pick up any training. I have a huge interest in learning!! I currently work in admin but I really do want to move over.....

I especially like the idea of learning mani/pedi, perm colour (bio sculpture), eyelash/eyebrow enhancements, spray tanning, nail extensions, facials, massage ect ect.....

Please do let me know of any good training courses or schools in and around Essex (I live close to Romford but I am more than happy to travel)....

I hope I get some replys!!.....

Hi Emma,

Bit of a complicated question- I started at my local college where I got a good grounding in the basics and then topped that up with additional courses.

In this industry, there's always new treatments/ products/ techniques being launched, so it's good to keep up to date.

There are loads of different providers for training in the industry, I would say visit them and check out the facilities they offer, ask about class sizes etc..

Product companies provide training in the use of their ranges, e.g. nails, body wraps, etc.. but *usually* they require you have a basic qualification in mani/pedi, massage, facials... as appropriate.

And you also get expert trainers, such as Kim Lawless, so you are training with someone who is working with the techniques day in- day out, and offers training for beginners and also for qualified therapists looking to expand their skills. Experts tend to be pricier, but by all accounts worth it.
