Can anyone recommend a nail technician training course in Northerm Ireland? I am doing a Level 3 in nail services (all three systems), I had thought it was a full NVQ 3 when I enrolled....this is what we were told in September. But...it turns out it is ony two units. I have now been told that this means that I couldn't work in the nail industry or get insurance with just this certifcation.

I was hoping that there might be something else someone can recommend that I could do thqt would mean I was properly qualified. Preferably in Belfast or surrounding area, I have a young family and couldn't travel too far.
TIA

:) Young Nails on the Lisburn Road are excellent and products are first class. There are two girls who do the training Amber and Nikki you will find their number in yellow pages under Nail Technicians. I have used Youngs products now for four years and have no reason to change. I have tried numerous gel and acrylic products and this one has not failed me yet. Good luck with whoever you decide to use.

Better still, do the best you can for yourself and go to Dublin to CND. They have won every award you can win for training. OK so it's not N. Ireland .. so what .. It's not a million miles away and it is the best you can get.

Geeg...how long does the training take? I could maybe take some time over the summer and go over to my sister's in Glasgow..I see there is a CND academy there.

Also...did I post this in the wrong forum? I see it has been moved to chit chat rather than nails?! I apologise if I got it wrong.

Hi hun,
Did you by any chance do this course with the BMC? They almost messed up my reflexology course too. A lot of people left not very impressed at all.

The Foundation Training is 5 or 6 days depending on what you do. BUT the last couple of days are spread out over a two week period, so that may not be convenient for you. However, they may be able to arrange something for you. Call CND Scotland on 0131 3333180.

Main forum is for discussion of interesting topics re nails and nail technology ... as education is not exactly a discussion, chit chat is a better forum to post itn. No problem.
