I've done a bamboo massage course, it's great to give and even better to recieve:lol: It's very easy on the therapist as opposed to a normal massage as the bamboo sticks (choo sticks) do all the work if you use them properly. I did my course with the Natural Therapy Studio. I had to travel to Essex but it was worth it. Go on you tube and type in bamboo massage.

Thermal or lava shells are the same they heat up and you massage with them x

Thai massage is nice and you can get different dumplings they are called to massage with containing different ingredients ie lime etc ..

Is dermalogica just introducing this?

Interesting. How does this differ from hot stones?

I do Head Hands Feet

mask and mits on hands and feet do head massage then hand and arm massage then foot and lower leg massage takes 3/4 hour and I charge £20... My clients love it.

Check out the other threads on lava shells lots of info on the differences already listed. Essentially, they are both thermotherapy, but the shells get hotter, whereas the stones cool. Consequently, the techniques are different. Shells are fantastic to use, so easy no heater and so simple to clean. I find them so adaptable. I have been known to use hot stones, cold stones and lava shells in one treatment - really magic treatment. :)My Clients really love them and they are proving so popular.

Is this treatment just for relaxing purposes or to stimulate circulation etc or what other benefits will it bring over having a normal massage??
