Hii i just wanted opinions off a professional

I'm a bit concerned about having my first ever 'fakebake' spray tan as im not sure whether il be allergic to it, so iv decided to have neck downwards and leave my face.

You know you can buy fakebake aerosol spray tan, well if i dont react to the tan within a few hours i was thinking of spraying the fake bake spray you can buy onto my face so im brown all over

Would this be ok? will it be the same colour asif id had it done in the salon?

Thanks a lot for your helpp :D x

If it's a tan in a can that you buy when you have the spray tan done then yes it's normally the same formula as the spray tan.
However if you are worried about a reaction then I would have a patch test done the day before your tan. A small area of iritated skin on the underside of your upper arm is a lot easier to deal with then a whole body:Scared:

Hi thanks for the reply :)

The FakeBake product im going to use is the airosol spray, so is that the one they will be technically using on me in the salon?

Hope i dont look silly with a white face and tanned body after the fake tan until i put it on my face.

Thanks for your help

If i did a test patch with my own fakebake spray would that effectively tell me whether il be allergic to the one in the salon?

All the products are usually the same, just different delivery methods, ie. spray, mousse etc.

Definately have a patch test before though if you're that worried.

:)

Have a look on the can, if it has a DHA% (10% for example) then yes it's the same as the stuff used in the salon, otherwise no.
Honestly hun, go and get a patch test, it takes a couple of seconds to do and will save you a lot of grief if you do have a reaction. As well as saving you a white face:wink2:

The place where you are getting your tan should of told you that you must have a patch test before they can spray you. i am a fake bake consultant and i always patch test as i would want anything bad to hapen to the cllient.

If your having a spray tan done and you think you would be allergic to it why would you do the whole of your body done and not your face? your body is a massive area and the itching would be a nightmare! and just because your face wasnt itching or reacting you would still feel terrible,Go get a patch test done, they will just dip a cotton bud in the solution and pop a little on your skin, you will feel so much happier and your mind will be a rest, I spray fake bake myself and yes you would look strange leaving the shop with your face white haha, Fantastic product though you'll love it x

The Fake Bake you get in the shops is not the same formular as what you would be sprayed with in salon, you could easily be allergic to one anf not the other.

You really need to pop into your salon and get a quick patch test, will take 2 mins!

If you only have your body sprayed but not your face and you have an allergic reaction it could still show up on your face anyway. The reaction doesnt have to be in the area the product is applied.

Also, yes, I do think you will look odd with your face a different colour to your body. Imagine someone who uses loads and loads of bronzer but has a white body, would that look odd. How would you hide the line accross your neck? wearing a choker is a bit 90s.

I offer all my clients a patch test.

x

You also need to make sure you have no other fake tan products on your skin before your spray tan application so best you dont use your aerosol.
