Hi I was wondering if someone can tell me why my topcoat goes bumpy after i cure it. I apply the topcoat(the edge) and it's applied nice and smooth but when it has been cured it's like there's small bumps like air bubbles or something on the surface if I try to buff these off I then lose the shine:cry: any help please:rolleyes:

Hiya ... It could be bubbles...dust...? make sure the nail is free off any dust or oil before applying and don't over work the gel as this can cause bubbles.

yep.. I've had this a few times, bagpuss is right. Dust was my problem. Make sure you've removed any dust from clients hands and towel first and that you've cleansed the nail properly. I now spend that little extra second or two looking for anything in the gel before putting in the lamp. :)

If you have used a nail wipe on the nails before applying the top coat it could be some stray fibres too hth

Dust can be a problem but maybe you could be applying the product just a little too thickly x

Forgot about this louise, best thing I ever did was change to gauze wipes instead of lint free... they never seem to be lint free enough for gel.

thanks for all your help girls, il try those tips nxt time:hug:
