I have just had the busiest few months ever in the salon, and I have just employed a part time therapist, I am also moving to slightly bigger premises, so all is going well !
It just occurred to me that I may well be heading towards hitting the Vat threshold which I believe is £77k ?
How have other salon owners dealt with this ? I need to re do my price lists and up my prices as I haven't done an increase for 2 years (I know should be yearly) there is no way I can hike the prices 20% my clients love me but not that much !!
It it ever worth working really hard and employing staff to pay so much vat and tax ?
Thoughts from other Geeks would be fabo x

It is a right pain to be honest. Avoid if you possibly can.
An accountant once told me that the moment you vat register, you need to push turnover up to 110k to just stand still on what you were earning before vat registration at (then) 70K.
