Hi

I've posted here because although I'm established in nails this is a totally new concept for me. I'm thinking about what direction I want my business to go in this year, and one of the things I would like to look into is the possibility of training to do waxing, more specifically I would like to specialise in male and female intimate waxing. I have never done any waxing before so I would be starting right from the beginning. I have enquired with my local college who can offer a course in beauty therapy which will last about a year and will cover various things that I've already studied, and also things that I dont want to study eg facials etc. Another alternative is to do a short course with a private company which I imagine would be very similar to a foundation course for nails ie a few days at college followed by lots of home practice and a final assessment. With both of these options, only the basic waxing will be covered eg legs, eyebrows, and as far as I'm aware you have to have a years waxing experience under your belt before you can go on a course to do the intimate waxing, but I dont know who offers this advanced training.

So, sorry to ramble on, but can anyone give me some advice on what would be the best way to do this? I would be interested in part time study only.

Thanks

There are 100's of threads on Intimate Waxing Training if you check the search engine.

It all depends on whether you want a long course at college or a fast track course with an inidvidual trainer. Kim Lawless and Axion on here both do basic waxing and intimate waxing courses which are accredited. Check out their profile for details of their websites or give them a pm.

I have trained with them both and can recommend both of them to you.

I don't require a minimum amount of experience before I'll teach you Intimate waxing, but I'm really strict. You need to have any basic waxing qualification or train with me in Absolute Beginners before you can do Intimate Waxing. You need to be a confident waxer and if I feel that you haven't grasped the training, you'll be asked to come back when you've improved (free of charge).

It isn't because I want to make it difficult for you....far from it. I just want you to excel.

Kim what you are saying here sounds ideal to me, and strictness doesnt put me off, I want to be good at what I do and I know that means lots of effort! I shall pm you for details.

You will be fine with kim (or Andy)
i did the course and before doing it i imagined it to be something that i would never add to my list of treatments but wanted to take the training so i could see for myself,
i love doing this treatment now, its so quick and easy and the clients love the results
