Does anybody know roughly how much it costs to run a washing machine per load? I know it sounds a daft question but im thinking of havin one put in the salon to make things easier for myself. But i would let the the girls who rent a room from me use it also but would charge them. What would be a reasonable price? £1 Per load of washing? Obviously just want to cover electric costs etc. Any opinions would be great Thanks

Dont know much about the running costs of washing machines but rest assured if I have anything to do with it its a dam good way of shrinking the wifes favorite jumpers LOL :lol::lol:

Might sound funny but WTF do I get some serious agro when I do it LOL :D

Had a look on moneysavingexpert and someone who monitored their electricity usage reckoned it was 8p - 16p, depending on the temp etc

However, £1 is not an unreasonable amount to charge, when you consider the convenience to them and what they would have to pay in a launderette. And you will have to replace the machine at some point.

Thankyou for that, that helps alot. Yeh and i will supply washin powder etc too x

This is something I have considered in the past but have you considered the drying part?
Washing is quite cheap, but drying can be very expensive this is why i opt for the launderette. We pay roughly £5 per load, which is washed dried, folded and delivered.
