hi there.
just wondered what systems you other geeks have in place regarding waste disposal?
im aware that any sharps stuff is to go into sharps box and be collected accordingly but is it essential for beauty salons to have clinical waste collections or do you just bag it as normal and put in regular dustbin? just thinking of skin, hair and possibly bit of blood on occasion due to blood spots in waxing etc.

Hi, Every local council seems to have a different idea of what the think is clinical waste and what to do with it. It's best to give yours a ring, and ask for their guidance :)

you have a duty of care regarding any waste you create as a business and the environmental health people are not to be messed with :irked::irked:
we have sani bins at the salon/training school and this company provide the service they did us a great deal and the service is top notch,we got a pretty pink bin and a percentage goes to breast cancer charity's hth
