And how much do pro websites cost per year, month, upfront etc??

I have used that tool for w3 thingy, and have done some searches on some well known websites and they are worse than anyones from here for errors and warnings, so not even the pros can overcome this then??

What is your web address? I will have a look and let you know.

I am not going to go through how I price my product because it will be classed as advertising so the post will go.

Pricing of websites is different and I advise you not to fall in the trap of being ripped off.
Some places will charge you anything from £300 to 000's.

Now this is all well and good you have spent £300 on a website and thats it they give you the login details of the hosting company and off you go, no after care, no Search Engine optimisation, No updating (search engines love sites that are updated (weekly/fortnightly etc)

I know if I had a simple 5 page website to build and I pulled my finger out by not writing posts in a forum I could get it done in a day, day and a half if I have problems. Easy £300 I hear you say.

The time consuming part of any web site I find is the search engine optimisation, and keeping ahead of the game, normally the costs involved are normally £100 a month for the pleasure of reaching no1 in ALL search engines. People thinks this happens overnight it can sometimes take 3-6mths to get to the top with some hard work involved.
Please if you are thinking of using an SEO specialist, if you hear the words "we work very closely with google" its lies google does not work closely with any seo company its top secret what goes off behind the doors of the google corporation. Its down to seo specialist to keep trying different things till they know what works and what doesnt.

Sorry misread your comment, I have never let a site leave my pc without it being valid, never will do, like I said in a previous post with court cases now going ahead for poor accessability of a website it will not be long before you will not appear on any search engine with broken code.

Just to add that I have noticed peoples sites on here with 300+ errors the sites you maybe checking have a small mistake in the difference between xhmtl and html, this is a massive difference when you get faults of <div> tags not opened or closed, if you check the main players on the market like BBC news with a MASSIVE site have no faults.

Trying to explain all the implecations of having faults on your page is a discussion in itself.
