Wella colour touch

Hi, I have been given a wella colour touch in shade 5/37 but it was produced in 2019. It hasn’t been opened but I know wella say they have a shelf life of 3 years. Do you think it will still be ok to use? It is brand new and still sealed

Do a strand test. I think it would be fine as long as the colour in the tube hasn't gone black
