Yet again im in a little bit of a pickle been up since 7am thinking about it

At the moment i do nails i mostly work mobile with it but i get the odd client who comes to me which i will then base it in my bedroom which there is enough space to. But as im going to be doing more treatments such as waxing etc i dont want to be going mobile anymore it would be easyer for me to have a home based salon, but i wont have enough space in my room to equipt all the equiptment as in my room i already have a double bed, double wardrobe a dressing table and bedside table. Does anyone know what i can do with this? Or where else can i base my treatments? I do have a spare garage but it will need soo much work done to it.
Thanks for your help x

is this a spare room, or is the bedroom actually in use ?

I think you may have to stay mobile from the sounds of it, I think you can get some quite lightweight couches now.

I have a home salon which is just for my use (no other furniture) and I still don't have room for a couch. By the time I've got my desk, chairs, pedi stool, foot spa, trolleys etc it does take a bit of space.

I was going to convert part of my garage too, but heating, lighting, insulation, plumbing and an entrance etc was too expensive.

Good luck:)

Sometimes i stay in the room im mostly staying at my partners house! It looks simular to a salon fresh paint, Wooden flooring..Im just trying to think is there anyway i could minimise the room to less furniture but still be space for me to sleep and have my clothes. Its qwite a big room

I think your sister asked the same question a couple of months back hun, I'll see if I can find the thread.
Personally (from the view of a client) I wouldn't go or at least go back to a place where the treatment was carried out in their bedroom, it doesn't come across very professional and would make me feel uncomfortable.

Can you not move in with your partner and empty your bedroom totally?
Or get a business loan and set up with your sister in the garage?
Or approach local salons and rent space?

Thanks bubba :)

Im unable to move in with my parter as he is currently living with parents and we both wouldnt afford a new place at the moment what with me paying for my courses and so on.

My credit rating it qwite bad so im not too sure if i would be able to get a loan?x

Can you and your sister share a bedroom?
I know it might sound strange as your both older now, but if that's the only way to get a spare room it may pay off for both of you in the end.

Good luck whatever you decide.

I couldnt share a room with her as we have too much stuff and i have to have a double bed lol..Im trying to think of a way where i could move my room around to fit all the equiptment in.

Where does everyone else have there home based salon?xx

I'm currently setting up in my livingroom, some do it in their kitchen or diningroom.
I really wouldn't recommend using a bedroom that's in use hun.

Have you approached salons about renting a desk/space/room?

I use a spare bedroom, so it's not used for anything else apart from treatments at the moment, but i've got it set up so that I can use it as a visitors bedroom too if i need to. It can be very difficult to do treatments at home if you don't have the space - especially if you offer a variety of treatments.
