What commission do people pay their staff?

Hi guys,

As the title really. I am taking on a member of staff and I want to make sure that the pay is fair and in line with everyone else. I was thinking a little over minimum wage as basic pay and then 10% comission on their takings once they have earnt their wage? If that makes sense Or is that low?

I get just over min wage then after I have doubled my wages I recieve 25% of what I have taken plus 10% of any retail I sell x

10% on any retail we sell

The spa I used to work at used to do 10% commission on any retail and we also have levels and if we reached a certain level we would get £x amount towards products.
