What is silk powder?

hi guys a client at the salon does her own nails and uses silk powder, i have heard of silk wraps before but not this.
she brought it in to show us and did one of my nails with it (without a tip) by dipping it in a powder and painting something clear on.
We didnt have long to talk but was wondering if anyone on here used this system? if so how strong is it n what are the benefits please? xx

It is the same as tip n dip only with silk instead of fibregalss as the wrap.

What is powder gel?? L&P with a gel top coat! Not misleading info just what we are told.
