I qualified with nails about a year ago, have always loved nails and know I wanted to do it, having my children delayed it a bit longer than I would have liked, I went on to do other courses such as tanning, waxing etc, and to begin with was working form home and mobile, it wasn't working for me personally doing it that way, so I decided to look into renting a space, called a few hair salons, went to see a few and meet the owners and other people that worked there, found the perfect place, go a gerat feeling, wsn't the cheapest, or even the fanciest but it felt right, I started on the 11th march this year, and am building my client base, not making any money as such yet, covering the bills though, I only work a thursday and saturday, but I am happy and it seems to be going well, still have my wobbly days where I panic, or the days where everything just seems to go wrong, but think that's normal no mater what proffesion/situatio you are in. I pay a daily rate, and all is included with this electricity, phone etc. I have all my own equipment, products insurance and things. I think with myself it brought me on, doing more, seeing people happy with their nails etc.
You can ask advise from your local tax office, they will help you with this, it's scary but exiting all at once hth x
