I trained with creative and really like there products. I just find that they are expencive would it be worth changing? also i used to get my products from CND sailsbury but they have gone bust. where can i get them now???

I would also like some advice on gel. At the moment i am only trainned in acrylic and am thinking about doing a gel course. where would be the best place to train? and what system? my friend used acrygel is it any good?

All advice will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Your best bet would be to call Sweet Squared in Leeds, they're the authorised Creative distributors in the UK, they'll be able to help and advise you. The number is 0845 210 6060 :D

Hi, I trained in both acrylic & gel and only use Acrygel now I love it.
contact Michelle Porter for training in your area. Michelle Porter - Nail Training Acrylic Fibreglass Acry gel Nail extension cours

I was looking into the Michelle Porter Acrygel courses, I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go straight for that given i haven't done any courses before and i'm new to the industry. But everything about Acrygel sounds fab. How did you find the training?

You can now get your Creative products directly from Sweet Squared, and if you used to get your products from Salisbury, trust me you will be more than impressed by the service you will get now.........

If you are wanting to use a Gel, obviously Creative's Brisa Gel would be an option, you can continue your education with Creative and lots of your prep products will be the same.

why dont you send for sample packs from all the best companies and see which ones you like. i would suggest, odyssey, ezflow, kinetics and magnetics good luck

I found the training 'ok'. The trainer was really nice but she did seem a bit over enthusiastic in buffing my nails when doing an infills demo to the group and my nails were actually painful for a few days afterwards. I felt that the course was very rushed and could have actually done with a 3rd day to get to grips with the infills. I'm offering the system to clients now and really like it but I'm still nervous about the infills, the client's that I have done have all wanted them for specific special occasions and didn't want the expense of upkeeping them. So I've not actually done any infills yet and I'm dreading a client that actually wants to keep them going! I'm going to put a set on a friend tonight and get used to infilling her, I can't see the point of offering a service if I can't do it well.

Ive just trained with creative in l&p and have also heard that the products are expensive? does anyone find this?

No, not at all... especially when you consider that you're using quality products that are 'high end' (as opposed to run of the mill) and also extremely advanced, ie reinforced crosslinking etc etc.

The cost per set is on a par with other brands and you won't get yellowing, service breakdown, cracking etc.
I suppose it all comes down to whether you want to use a well known brand that's a quality product and stand out from the crowd or use a middle of the road product and be 'samey'!

You get what you pay for. If you go for a top brand like CND or Ezflow (and other top brands too) you will have fewer problems with lifting, prep, longevity, colour, etc. There are also the educators there to back you up. If you go with a cheaper product, the same amount of research hasn't gone into its production and in my opinion they are inferior. You'll end up doing much more work on repairs and at rebalance time, and your clients won't be as pleased with their enhancements.

I trained with Margarita Belska - true perfectionist... I could not be more happy.. she even provided models for me to practice on - to gain experience. I was very pleased, as I could study as long as I wanted for no extra charge.. I keep calling her for advice, she always helps.. She does courses in London with Kinetics products anyway see the webiste Margarita Belska Nail World
