Hi, I'm new to this geek lark and I work
Mobile so I'm not with other professionals so
I have tons of questions . I'm currently redoing my price list but I am really struggling with the maintenance appointment prices because some people don't need anything doing and others needs lots so a standard price is difficult , I've looked at doing it on time alone but then that screws up the appointment times. I've done hair extensions for years but I'm just struggling on the admin side trying to standardise the maintenance appts

£20 per hour I charge

I have a standard charge for half head, three quarter and full head maintenance however once you have been to a client a couple of times u get used to how much they need. i.e. If a half head client takes longer as they are styling it a lot then I charge them the three quarter price.

It depends upon what your nearest competitors charge for similar hair maintenance service or for for that matter standard hair styling services, To be competitive enough, I would suggest keeping your prices slightly below that what your nearest rival is charging.

If you always undercut your competition, you'd soon be out of business. I'd rather woo a client who chooses quality over price every day. They're the most loyal clients.

Yeah i agree, i go by what i think, products, tax, time etc, i'd never look at other around me i'll just charge what i think suits

Hi,just our opinion, we advise our learners/extension specialists to check their competition in their area. Installing extensions is a talent so don't sell your self too cheap.. We advise half a set from £75-100 with cut and finish and full head from £120-£150 with cut and finish. X

We would encourage people to charge what they are worth and with maintenance (especially for rings/tube fittings) complete a maintenance/rotation sheet so you allocate 'X' amount of time per maintenance appointment but log and record the rows you are rotating to enable you monitor their aftercare & hair growth etc correctly. Charge for your time only and if you have to fit more hair then charge that on top of your standard rate.

I think it depends on requirement.

It's depend upon hair which type of extension you need..
