What's wrong with this nail?

Do you think she has a nail infection? Shes had it a while but ive noticed its now moved up her nail towards the cuticle and the nail points upwards a bit.
She has a doctors appointment this week so is going to mention it but just wondered what it was?. Thanks x

I'm no expert.... but it looks similar to my hubbys ... he has psoriasis on the nail bed...

Looks like onycholysis, where the nail plate is separating from the nail bed. This could have been caused by any number of things but usually some form of trauma.

The nail needs to be kept short, free of product and a quality nail oil such as Solar Oil applied several time a day.
