Where to start? Confused

Hey Geeks,

Just a quick question. When starting training would you go straight onto an enhancements course or would you do manicure and pedicure first? Thanks x

I would always say that you should know the anatomy of the hands and know how to do a basic manicure before doing enhancements.

Some enhancement courses will cover this, where some wont.

I've got a Level 2 vtct in Nail Treatments, Level 2 vtct Nail Technology and a Level 2 NVQ Beauty Therapy so I have covered the anatomy of the nail in all three. I'm just wondering which way to go first - the way I see is I've got the very basics x

Have you not already covered mani/pedi in your nail and beauty courses so far? I received certification for manicures from my lvl 2 beauty therapy course - although that was donkeys ago! Maybe things have changed since I trained :hug:

i think it would depend on what you really would like to do and what your potential clients are wanting and go with that
