Hi
Today I had a couple of soak off both clients had white patches left on them, I'm not at all rough and dont ever prize them off, I oiled them and let it soak a while ~I did lightly buff with a 240 block, quite alot of the white off but didnt want to go too mad and weaken the nat nail, after the clear o/l I could still see it, any ideas ???

temporary dehydration...?

temporary dehydration...?

I would say so.

Look, it's just like hair. When hair is bleached it becomes more porous and also more dry. We women accept that.

It takes a few days for the moisture/oil balance returns to the nails. The client should be told this and also told to use Solar Oil at least twice per day to help rehydrate the nail plate. Some people have this worse than others, but it only takes a few days for the nails to get back into balance.

You shouldn't try to buff it away! Buff some oil into the surface maybe but not try to remove it.

What should a tech do if a new enhancement is to be applied straight away rather than the client go away and use Solar Oil to regain the moisture? Would the white patch show through the pink?

I my experience i have found that it does show but only for a while....most clients say it took 2-3 days for it to disappear. x
