Hi All,

I'm all booked up and ready to do my Creative Foundation in Hammersmith at the end of July and have been making enquiries about registering for NVQ. However, my boyfriend throws the spanner in the works and tells me he may have the chance to go to LA to work for two years!

He goes for two weeks next week and if all goes to plan we could be moving out there August time.

So, now I'm really confused as to where I should be heading with my training.

I will have time to complete my Creative Foundation, but not the NVQ. I understand the US is much stricter with its laws regarding Nail Technicians. Does anyone know what training I must complete to enable me to work in LA?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Kx

You will more than likely have to go to school there and pass the state board. I think the required hours are around 300.

If you do go out and become a licensed tek in California, it should really help you out with your NVQ.

Thanks Geek,

I don't suppose you know the cost of training in the US?

Does it vary a lot as it does in the UK?

Kx
