    Paraffin Spray Trouble

Hi, sounds like the paraffin isn't going on thick enough. I had the same problem with my spray system so ended up decanting paraffin into a foil-lined bowl and painting on with brush. Also, putting cream on hand/foot helps paraffin to slide off. HTH! x

What to add with a parafin wax treatment for feet pleaese?

why don't you do the paraffin during the facial, ie while her mask is on and follow it with a foot massage or mini reflexology or even a nail tidy and paint.

    Hot stone therapy

Might be worth considering also where you'd stand insurance-wise too if used a slow cooker rather than pro model. x

    Feeling stressed after every client

I agree with Debbie, there was a great thread on 'confidence' on here ... including how to handle it if your client does come back to you. I think the fact that you worry shows that you are good at what you do and care about the quality of your work.x

A twist to pedi and manis

Some fab ideas here! I'm qualified in reflexology and hot stones so sometimes incorporate these. I massage the lower leg/arm and foot/hand with the stones. Clients love it! x

    How much would you charge?

I'm a mobile booked to do a children's party next week and can't decide what to charge per child. The treatment will be a soak in foot spa, mini foot massage, file and paint with nail art. I have a mini bottle of nail polish per child too. I'm thinking £5 per child. Does that sound...

Night Class good or bad idea?

I did all my training in the evenings on VTCT courses and I would highly recommend, especially if you have children. Of course it means it will take longer doing it part-time but if it fits in with your home life then perfect! Go for it! x

    Im struggling with tanning!!

Hi there, I think when you are not making any money, it can all seem like a chore. It's tricky when you've started prices low to put them up though... maybe give your clients some notice that, say, in a month, two months' time, the introductory offer is ending and your new price will be X...

    Mobile therapist...appointment timing

I always add an extra half hour onto the treatment time to allow for setting up, packing up and a little chat, re-booking etc. If it's a new client, maybe a bit longer.

Client offering to do a leaflet drop.

It's a nice offer but I agree, she might not do it and you'd never really know. I'd tell her you prefer to do your own leafletting as you like to know exactly which areas you've covered. Cynical or what?! If you do get any direct referrals from her, ie if she tells her friends, maybe do...

    !!Waxing as a mobile therapist!!

Why don't you try the roller system? I use Clean + Easy for mobile work, I just heat it up at home before client (or at previous client's house if they don't mind) and it's always ready to go when I get there. I transport it in a Thermos zip up bag to keep it nice and warm. I have never had to...

    Appointment Book/Diaries

One tip I'd like to share here is keep a back up! My suitcase was once lost for a week at the airport with my appointments diary in and I couldn't remember who I had in. So now I have an ordinary diary plus I write all the appointments onto a calendar at home so that I won't be in same position...
