    I nails express?

thanks for this info, do you find this system can be used on flat nails or nail biters? is it pretty flexible? and have you had anyone with a bad reaction to their 'liquid acrylic' ? :)

    I nails express?

I saw these on demo today at Birmingham show. I was sort of intrigued as the demo guy told me that he uses 'liquid acrylic' to which I asked him if he meant gel. 'No' he said, it is liquid acrylic. Hmmmm. So thats gel then? But he was adamant that it was 'liquid acrylic' and defo not gel...

Beauty UK show NEC Birmingham 2016

Not brilliant, I prefer Manchester. £12 to park and about £20 in fuel. Lots of smaller stalls selling unknown bits of tat really. Horses for courses I guess as some were busy. On the plus, it wasnt too busy :)

Help, looking at getting electric drill

I use the Kupa 2000 and I love sanding bits as even for a good make they are only 18p each and you can dispose of them after each customer. No need to soak in Mundo. Great for removing twinkle toes. I also use the safety carbide bit & under nail bit. I never use the others and I paid...

    Customer loses a nail?

heres my ten peneth... I hate having to remove my shoes when entering peoples houses. I suffer with neuropathy in my feet and raynauds - to look at me you would not guess at all. I avoid all shoe removing situations as I hate having to explain myself. You want clients to feel comfortable...

    CND Nourishing Remover

I used the new remover for removing ACG and it was quicker than acetone with no white fingers. However, on a client with cold hands it needed an extra 5 mins and her fingers were showing signs of white-ness. I will use it in conjuction with heated mitts for the correct time in future. It...

    Infilling other's work

personally I dont infill someone else's work. I dont like to breathe in the dust from non standard salons. I find the majority of people who have asked for infills are expecting it at a much lower price than a new set, as they are under the impression you are all done in 30 mins. Maybe so...

Best way to do glitter fades over enhancements

I am wondering if the best way to do glitter fades is to overlay the enhancement with shellac / or a gel then do the glitter scrub into the inhibition layer, but if I do this, I am sort of doing 2 services instead of one, so how would the charging be priced?

Does anyone else get bored easily?

I dont think I have had matching hands for at least 2 years! I keep my left simple with white holographic glitter tips (but at the moment I have french shellac which took me an hour left handed!) My left hand is sporting shellac & mani q glitter fade - I'm always trialing products for...

your replies made me smile :) so its not just me eh! cripes, I'm so glad I'm not a dentist or a hairdresser - at least nails can grow out pretty quickly lol

    How many clients over exaggerate?

I saw my client who had text me previously in the week to - quote - 'warn you that my nails are terrible, they are all flaking and 3 have split right down the middle' Hmmmm. She had only had ACG french on them! anyway, after getting myself in a right flap and buying solar oil in bulk plus...

    Feeling disheartened - L&P

I've took everything on board and I'm going on Monday to infill them, she said an infill would be fine as there is not horrific lifting. I will use the CND sheer pink on them as suggested and if this doesnt work well I'm blowed if I know whats up with them. I always dread the NSS clients as...

    Why blend?

This seems like a silly question when I am so far down the line, but I have not worked this out and its bugging me. If you were doing a set of enhancements using a pink masque and white, then tipped with a natural colour 'non blend' enhancement, why oh why do some people still say you have to...

    Exasperated with L&P

when you say you are working from cuticle to tip, do you mean you are using the 'reverse' method?

    Feeling disheartened - L&P

I've just spoken to her, and she says she will be ok with an infill on Monday so the lifting cant be so bad that they are hanging off or anything. I am planning to infill with CND retention+ and what pink should I use? is this ok over NSI sheer pink? I normally only work on product free...

    Feeling disheartened - L&P

hugs & advice gratefully received ! Her nails were free from products, and looked in good condition. She is used to going to NSS, but has not had them on for a while. She did comment that she was impressed as her nails felt very 'light'. - and none were wonky! They came out really...

    Brisa gel over flaky nails?

I have a client coming tonight who's nails have split and are flaking - I've not seen them yet. She has been wearing ACG (im NOT blaming the product, just describing what has happened). Would it be a good idea to give them a coating of Brisa gel before apply shellac? as I believe there...

    Feeling disheartened - L&P

I'm frightened to ask by text! I dont want her to think I am blaming her in any way, as I would rather see them first, so I can look at her right hand and compare. If her right hand is perfect, then I would pose the question 'are you left handed' but I think if I ask by text without looking...

    Feeling disheartened - L&P

Just as I thought I'd 'cracked it' with the l &P and able to produce good lasting enhancements, perfected my prep etc. I have got a text from a client saying the nails on her left hand are lifting. I honestly dont know what else I can do. She doesnt work with water much and she is in her...
