If you do 8 pedis in a row you may find you can't get up afterwards! So definitely best to do whole client before moving on. How long will each client take if you do mani and pedi?
I use my 18g Gelish lamp for shellac. I have the CND lamp but I rarely use it. If it was only the top coat curing surely it would not last the two weeks. I do have a problem with Romantique though. I wonder if it's these few colours mentioned that are stopping CND releasing their lamp.
I have found that the biggest cause of flaking/peeling nails is cleaning products. Clients will often say they use gloves but I think it's a bit like me saying to the doctor that I only have a "couple" of glasses of wine per week.
I would definitely wait until you've done the training before making any decisions. You may hate it! Also, enhancements are not as easy as some people make them look.
I have a friend who did LFW last year and she loved the experience but said absolutely manic and v high pressure when you're working. Often sitting in weird positions on floor while someone else doing hair/make up.
Haven't tried with shellac yet but Gelish Go Girl is a fader. Someone gave me the tip of putting coat of Simple Sheer over the top, ie clear Gelish 'colour' polish, followed by top coat. Made a big difference.
One advantage of a percentage for the hair salon is the salon owner has a vested interest in promoting your services. A lot can depend on the location of salon and how many nail bars/beauty salons in same area.
