hey Geeks.....

I was just looking at all your wonderful artistic talented work on one of the threads.... it was a very big WOW.... im not yet qualified and dying to get going and i have never seen nails like what you are all doing so cant wait to get into it!! I am quite artisitc nothing like all of you though, but i was just wondering..

Did you all go on specialised courses for all the different types of nail decoration? where and who provides the courses??

I just cant believe how lovely and different you all make your nails look you should all be so proud!! i hope one day to be as talented and add my work to one of the threads!

I just pick it up as I went along

I think taking classes is the way to go. It gets you where you want to go on the fast track. You can also find a tech that lives somewhere where you can drive to that wants to mentor you. Most techs want to chat about what they love, and don't mind sharing if they are not in the same town as you! You don't want to ask someone to help you that is your competition.

i did do an airbrushing course , an ez flow design course and a nail art course but most of the stuff other than that i have learnt off felllow geeks on here :wink2:

i am like Dee on the taking classes front
I did an EzFlow design class (thats how i found ezflow and now look at me!...lol)
as well as i have done an airbrushing class (altho i nolonger use my airbrush as a) i broke it abt 3 yrs ago and never got it fixed and b) i find i am quicker doing acrylic design and hand painted art
I have also done loads of workshops on improving my design work with my educator over the years too

I did nail art as part of my course but the majority of it I have picked up as I have gone along to be honest, just messing around with designs and seeing what comes out. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, the good ones I put on my display board, the ones that don't work go in the bin lol. x

I did the Ezflow design course and the master himself Anthony Buckley was the educator, it was amazing, plus you pick it up as you go along, nail art is letting your imagination run wild and putting it onto your nails, I look on web pages at other peoples nail art and get ideas from them, I just love nail art and very rarley just have pink and white nails.:)
