If removing nail polish on acrylic nails, is it ok to use acetone polish remover or will this slightly start to dissolve the acrylic???

Thanks

Personally i find using Acetone for polish removal, works extemely fast and therefore the acetone is not in contact with acrylic for more than a second.

I have used this method for past five years and it does not affect the acrylic.

I asked my creative trainer this exact question today and she said that it doesnt matter. She uses acetone based nail polish remover all the time.x

I use pure acetone to remove polish off of acrylic...it is so much easier! If you think about it, you have to soak in acetone at least 15 minutes before anything starts to happen so using a little acetone on a cotton ball is not going to hurt your acrylic....JMO

I use an acetone based polish remover, but right after taking the polish off, I still buff the nails back to a high shine, goes quicker due to the acetone... and shines shines shines.

and no it doesn't affect the acrylic as long as you don't let your product for too long on the nail

I use acetone too... i did read on here, by Geeg i think, that because it is fast and easier there is less damage to the enhancement as there is no need to rub and rub with the non acetone.. do a search and you might be able to find it
