hi hun, welcome to the mad house, we have two tanning experts on here, Collin from Tantricks and Steve from Novatan if you type them into the search engine or tanning machine, you will get all the info you need, the machine that fits what you are after is the T200 (think) that's what it's called, anyway the guys will be able to answer all your questions and the other threads you will find will answer questions you didn't know you had:hug:

'Tanning Expert'!! My cup runeth over!! Thanks Susie:hug:

mmm the best machine hey...its a bit like saying which is the best car...for me it would be a Lamborghini....as I cant afford one its more of a case which one is best given two factors....
1) what do I have to spend (budget)
2) for what purpose will I be using it for..is it a chick mobile or something to move bails of hay with

same concept applies to HVLP machines

if your looking at a low budget then its got to be the HV5008...if you have a bit more you cant beat investing in a mini mist(T100/200)...if you've got a few coppers more then its the HV5008 with the pro gun upgrade.

Whichever option you go for the low cost of HVLP machines is a very small price to pay for something that will pay for itself time and time over.

Work on the basis of the more you spend = the better machine you get(generally speaking) and buy it from a reputable supplier as if things go wrong they will be there for you to sort out any problems you may encounter down line

HTH and the very best of luck with your new venture

I would say the 5008 is your best bet. This machine was designed solely for spray tanning. I think there has been a few issues with the T200 and they are used for low volume spray tanning, so if you are doing a lot of tans then you will be much better with the 5008. I think a lot of companies are slowly phasing out the T200 anyway in favour of the 5008.

Having used both I would recommend the Minimist, I hated the Maximist with a passion! :) I didnt have the 'pro gun upgrade' but I doubt that I would have liked it even with that! and its a fair bit bigger than the Maximist too!

LOL I remember that time

The main reason that the T200 has lost some ground is due to a number of factors.

Firstly there was really only the T200 option until the HV5008 machine came along with such a low price point it has became a popular choice....it's also pretty dam reliable.

The T200 had a bad manufacturing batch last year which further caused it to loose ground...im assured by Apollo that these issues have been fully addressed.

The major factor however has been the distribution rights of the machine itself which are held exclusively by one company who is also a spray tan brand....other brands are put off by this and when the HV5008 came along..well any distributor could buy it...therefore more did and together with its low price point and many distributors offering it it is probably now the market leader in terms of sales here in the UK as well as the U.S.

In terms of guns the miniminst(T100/200) is by far a better piece of kit than the standard gun on the HV5008 which will uses slightly more solution .

So again...if your budget is limited it would be the HV5008...if you have a bit more of a budget then the minimist and if you have a tad more then the HV5008 with the upgrade gun is one heck of a nice set up.

Completely agree with Collin, the T200 is by far the better option if you have the funds.

Thanks guys, they were the two I was looking at so think after what you have said its better to put the extra money in and get a maxi mist esp. if they also use slightly less lotion as well. After all I'd rather have a better finish and a machine that will last longer, it also seems to be rather more compact.

Thanks to you all for your kind help, you have probably had to say this over and over again but really appreciate it!

Lol think I am getting mixed up again! This is why I needed the help! The T200 is the one that I am thinking of going for!
