Hi,
If you do a search working from home you will find loads and loads on this subject Louise.

The council but as you are using a bedroom they should ok this and not charge you business tax. Have you lots of place on your property for clients to park? will you be bringing loads of traffic to your street(with all your clients) will other people in the street be effected? thses sort of things will need to be answered.
Your home insurance you may find they will not cover you for working from home and may have to find another insurance that will do Norwich Unioun does this has been talked about on the site.. (your insurance for the treatments be it PRO BEAUTY DIRECT or what ever one you have only covers your client when they are in the room where you will be doing the work, not walking through your house going up and down stairs.
Health and Safety issues.

Like I said have a search I have not got to this stage yet but I am making sure when I do I have a lot of things sorted like products locked away, first aid kit, accident book, I can not think of them all right now.

I hope this helps a little.

I think if you are working from home (particularly l&p) you need to meet ventilation requirements? I was told at Creative that this involves consulting a specialist heating engineer, if you do not have one of those tables that has a built-in ventilation system.

Best speak to your local council who will also be able to advise on this.
