Hi guys im only training at the moment but am finding with all sets i have done most of the nails are all coming off within two weeks..
I have recently changed my acrylic powder from uv to non uv to see if this helps. What could be the main cause?
Im very carefull not to touch the skin with the product i sanitize dry lightly file away the nail shine use nail prep before applying acrylic. All sets i do are not very long in length. I try to keep the acrylic thin so nails arent very heavy could this be why they keep coming off.
Any advice is appreciated..
Also what polish or clear varnish do people put on there nails after?
Im using star nail products by the way :)

The problems you are having are because you new at it...we all experienced problems to start with...

where are they breaking off...?....do they lift off...?

Sounds like they could be too thin.

i find they do lift and crack by the cuticle area and just tend to not be very srong if they are knocked in any way they jus all come off and crack.

Could be your prep. Make sure you are very thorough. I think most of us make this mistake when we start. Remember - practice makes perfect!

Just curious as to else you would suggest for prep as i do take my time and try to make sure all steps are correctly done?

Give the nails a thorough cleanse (I use scrubfresh) and make sure you remove all dead cuticle from the nail plate then cleanse again!

Sounds like you are applying your product too thin and probably not building an apex or placing the apex in the wrong place hth
