Hiya guys,

I have searched for this so don't shoot me if you've answered something similar before! :green:

We use Nailtiques kit at college for our mani and pedi course, which is very good, but I wondered what you guys use for your manicures and pedicures? I'm not CND trained obviously, so I can't use that yet!

All the girls at college are going to stick with that after qualifying, but I want something that not everyone who has done my course will be using! And where you guys get your kit from, that would be helpful advise too!

Thanks dudes,

D*

Hi

As far as I'm aware, you can still buy creative's manicure and pedicure range even if you haven't trained with them. It is only the enhancement systems that they will not sell you.:)

Wow that sounds like something I could look into then! I've heard good things about Creative.

Does anyone use anything else? Like NSI etc?

Thanks

nailtek are nearly identical to nailtiques but without the min order. in some ways they are better as they put protein & moisture into the nail.
Creatives man range is fab as its very aromatic. They also do a range of strengthners called the 411. They also do 2 peds, raw earth and spa. raw earth is great for the winter, they do a warming sugar scrub which always went down well.

My absolute favorite Mani and Pedi treatments are all of the CND ones..... there is something for every one and the 411 range is prescriptive, it is tailored to the needs of the client and it works.
You should be able to purchase these with a secondary account, give them a call .

This might be different according to each country, but I believe you can because here in the states we aren't trained by a particular company.. just individual schools and we are tested by each state's board of cosmetology to become certified. And I can buy any Creative product I wish. Actually, I love their cuticle removers. So it is available to all certified nail techs. But this might be different in different areas.

Nailtiques is an AWSOME nail strengthener. Nail Tek is a lot like it. I use it on my clients who respond well to Nailtiques. It's also great because it has 3 different levels. This way the nail isn't over treated which happens a lot.

My favorite strengtheners are Rejuvacote, Nail Envy, and Nail Tek(Nailtiques is very similar). I can usually treat any client's nails with these three products.

As far as putting together a manicure/pedicure that will become popular, I don't use just one product line. Because all product lines have awsome products. For instance, I use Creative cuticle removers, OPI polishes, OPI's Chip Skip, Gena lotion, Indulge Scrub, etc..etc.. So try out different kinds and create your own. That way no one can find your service any where else. ;) Good luck!

I do not think you can beat using a whole integrated system ... there are so many unbranded salons and independents in the States and to me the decision to cherry pick products when there are awesome products in the one system is just silly.

Systems are made to perform together and I can promise you this: even though one can cherry pick from different brands, nothing will be as effective as using the products that are meant and designed to work together from the same system.

If I went to a beauty professional for a Clarins or Dermalogica facial, I would not be pleased to have a tonne of different products from different brands used together on my face. It just does not make sense to me nor do I think it looks professional either.

I trust my brand and its ability to out perform anything else when used together and no other brand has anything I need that I do not already have in my brand ... and I know all products are compatible. Works for me!!

In our salon we use Cuccio Naturale for our manicures and pedicures.

We used to use Nailtiques, but find our clients are definately in favour of our change to Cuccio .. the smells are devine so makes it a great treat for them :green:

Thanks for all of your replies guys. :)

I totally agree with Geeg on the 'one-brand' influence. I only use two different companies for my professional polishes, Jessica and OPI, so I would like to be able to stick to one brand of mani/pedi products. I am glad to hear I may be ok to get Creative products without being Creative trained, so on my next day off I will give them a call!

Thanks again you lovely bunch of peeps! :green:
