i have had a client come back after only 2 weeks complaining of lifting on closer inspection the nails are only very slightly lifting on one or two nails but only visible on closer inspection she has never had any enhancements before and the rest of my clients have never had this problem but now i am doubting myself have i done something wrong???
the lady was quite rude to me and this has completely knocked my confidence
I use nsi balance uv gel and on her i used builder clear and brush on french white finished with glaze and go. I etched the nail plate and oushed back cuticles and removed any tissue and then primer before applying the gel???
I do this on other clients and have never had a problem does anyone have any advice?

hi there i am doing nsi course bat the moment the acrylic did you use nail pure to dehydrate the nail as well and are you etching the whole nail right into the sidess xx

shes gone 2 weeks and its very slight lifting? If so I dont think your doing anything wrong at all, and I dunno whats shes moaning about. But like Chazac said are you using nail pure too? This is a very important part of all prep. Unfortunatly is any business you sometimes come across nasty people who know nothing but to be rude. Try not to let it get you down.

I used to have a client like this the slightest bit of lifting she was on the phone to me , she really done my head...so I dumped her,two weeks is fine , if it was happining in days I could understand her complaining.
You know Ive done two pedicures lately , and Ive had two ladies say theyve had nail extensions done and they broke within two weeks, werent happy ..well to me for some one whos had nail etensions for the first time, theyve done blimmin well for two weeks,do they expect them to last for ever ..aw clients dont you just love em ????

I completely agree, your obviously doing everything right. i completed the Youngs foundation course in December and the tutor took one look at my nail and said i bet when you have extensions on that they lift! They do, not straight away but within a couple of weeks, she said it was to do with my natural nail shape and curve. Perhaps put extra prima on, I do and it seems to do the trick on mine.
Other than that ask what she does for a living!! Typing, bar work, hands in water etc it all makes a difference.
God loves a tryer, sounds like shes after a freebee!

HI THERE I AGREE WITH ALL THE OTHER REPLIES AND DONT THINK YOU HAVE ANYTHING WRONG AT ALL. I TRAINED WITH YOUNG NAILS AND NSI AS WELL AS MY VTCT I'VE RECENTLY STARTED USING CUTICLE REMOVER(NOT SOFTENER AS THIS CAN CONTAIN OIL) AND FOUND IT HELPS.I AGREE THOUGH THAT THE PROBLEM IS MORE LIKELY HANDS IN WATER ETC. IF YOUR OTHER CLIENTS ARE HAPPY YOU MUST BE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT

Hi kelly, I feel rather than tar client with bieng a moaner, maybe it would be wise just to grin and bear it. Me personally think that lifting, is lifting and even if it is 2 weeks it is lifting. Try talking to client and educating that her nails need regular maintanence until you both find right balance, ask her to work with you.

I have lots of clients whom nails I do once per month and nails are lovely not one bit of lifting, ZERO, buff like a dream, however I have some clients whom nails need doing per forghtnight, so I would tend to disagree with comments that prev poster have said, as not all clients nails are the same, therefore they need dif treatments, maintenance etc. Just because one client has no lifting does not mean your next wont, regardless of technique, etc. I just feel alot of techs are very quick to blame the client when nails brake, snap, lift etc,, instead of admitting it might be them.

Please dont get me wrong yes we all have ,,ahhhem,, stubborn client whom we all smile and let them think they know better,, but some times, insted of being stubborn I feel we should learn of clients, and not dismiss them as being 'moaners' they are our bread and butter, educate them dont dismiss them xxxx:hug:

Yes Katie you are right entirely, although yes I did call the client a moaner, this was only because poor Kelly had found this woman to be rude to her and had taken a knock to her confidence. Unfortunatly some people are just like that. Idd lifting is lifting at the end of the day. Like you say, some people can go a month before a rebalance but some (myself included) can ony go 2 weeks. You are right it is about finding what suits each individual client as they are idd all different. But in no way did I mean to dismiss her client.

thanks for your help ladies much appreciated
also i am using pure plus as part of my prep and etching the whole nail plate does anyone have any suggestions to a good cuticle remover i could try?
again many thanks for taking the time to reply:)

NSI's Vanish Cuticle remover is good :) Makes sense to use that if you're already using their other products. xxx

Hi Nicci, it's okay I understood what you meant,
