What is the best way to clean make up sponges and brushes?
I currently wash mine using hot water and shampoo but does that kill any nasty germs and bacteria that may be lurking?
Im talking personal make up sponges etc not salon use ones.
So what do you all do?
And do you have several sponges for different uses?

I would wash them in anti-bacterial soap. You can also buy proprietory brush cleaning fluid from wholesalers etc but for personal use this isn't really necessary.

With regard to your question about different sponges, I would only use a sponge for foundation and even then my preference would be a brush, but again for personal use you can use whichever applicator you like
