Barbering-does this make you a better hairdresser?

I have been told by a friend hairdresser that if you train in barbering this will help you in ladies hair? She says she thinks she's learnt a lot doing barbering and says it has made her a much better cutter.

So basically is this right? Cause I'm thinking of doing a course x

I think it depends on you to be honest. If u feel u need more training then yes it should help you.

One of my tutors said the same thing especially when doing short ladies cuts.

Having the training in both has helped me over the years with short ladies styles. It's more fun to attack them with clippers when their not expecting it.
