Hi everyone. I have searched and have found some useful info, but am in a dilemma and need some expert advice please!
Right. I am a fully qualified Creative and Calgel nail tech.
I have done a manicure and pedicure course.
I have a VTCT in Swedish Body Massage, and an Independant Beauty Specialist Diploma in Waxing and in Indian Head Massage.
Now, I want to complete my beauty training, by doing all the eye treatments, facials, make-up, body wrapping etc but I am in a muddle with what route to take.
Here are my options.
1. Go to a College in April and do an ITEC in beauty therapy, which will cover the waxing and mani/pedi which I have already done. This will cost over £1000.
2. Wait until September and do Beauty NVQ L2, again covering the above that I am already qualified in, but will be cheaper (£400 for kit etc)
3. Go back to the place where I got the Independant Beauty Specialist Diplomas and do more short courses there. This will prob still cost me around £800+ but it would mean that I don't have to re-do what I have already learned. And I can fit them in around work.
The money isn't really an issue, it's just that I am a bit at the thought of paying for something I have already paid to qualify in!!!!
My career plan is to gain this further experience and work in beauty, and eventually in the future become a tutor in beauty or nails or both.
I would love to hear all your pros and cons for each above course.
Many thanks.
