Best way to decant wax?

Can someone tell me what the best way to decant PR ocean cristal wax from the tin to a hive 1000cc wax pot is. Have read through the threads and someone said about balancing the tin of wax on top took her 4 hours.

Kirsty,
Take the inner bucket out of your wax heater and pop your tin of Cristal Ocean in to melt and when its ready using a clean wax strip carefully lift it out, put your wax bucket back into the heater and then pour the tin of melted wax into the bucket.

I have an old heater than I keep just for melting wax so I can top up my wax pots as I go along.
