Hi everyone

I wanted to ask when you are waxing a large lady on the biki line how do you get around it.

I know you have to strecth the leg really well and get client to do the same and bend the leg etc,
The reason imn asking is my room in the salon is only small and I find with the larger ladies ther is not much room lol,

really I had a bad day today, lovely ladie came in for her bikini wax had,nt had a wax done in years she said, shaves but not that frequently.

She said she used nair cream last time and had trouble with it she said she reated really bad to it.

Now i waxed her bikin today, cleansed the area trimemed and used oil, asked her to strertch at much as she could but with her legs being on the big side did,nt have a lot of room and OMG i bruised her a little bit I was mortified as this doesnt usually happen,

She said she was,nt on any medication, though she had had a lump out on her leg a couple of years ago.

any suggestions i am soo embarrased that this happened, she had a lovely pedicure afterwards though and i did appoligise she seemed ok about it but its upset me as she might not come back again:cry:

I don't know what to say to this really. Apart from pulling the bed away from the wall a bit, you can only do what you can. Use non strip wax on the bikini area and you won't ever bruise. xxx

However much care you take, this can happen

Just one question - do you use non strip wax? I find it doesn't pull the skin as much as strip wax. Also, did you work in small sections?

Don't beat yourself up about it. I understand why it has brought you down, but you can't turn the clock back, you can only put it down to experience. Some people bruise really easily

don't beat yourself up!!!!!!!!! Honestly if you can switch to non strip wax, you will never bruise again. i used to be so scared of bikini wax that at a point i decided not to offer it at all, than I found Kim!!!!!!!
she introduced me to hot wax, and from a crap waxer I am a wax princess now, love it and my extreme waxing is getting so popular that i still have to pinch myself toi beieve!

Hello, Can you suggest a good non strip waX g.lo?

I currently use Berins which is a fabulous non strip wax and a lot of geeks on here rate Perron Regot which I have also used and is also a superb wax to use.

Apply a very fine layer of talc to her skin first so the wax isnt too sticky on her skin. Get her to hold her skin taut too. If your doing the thigh get her to bring her knee up and out or if possible get her to drop her leg off the couch to open the area up and strech the skin. You can wax with strip wax and not bruise but you do get the odd client thats difficult. I bruised one girl because she lunged forward and loosened the skin BEFORE I pulled the strip!!!

To prevent bruising, use a fine layer of talc in sweaty or overly dry areas (bikini, underarm, knees) apply the wax and apply the strip. Get your clinet to relax and pull her skin taut and you hold the skin too and pull the strip off.

With some ladies the thigh area isnt very firm either due to excessive weight or weight loss or age. Ensure the skin and muscles are tight and you will never bruise again!

Also if the clients not been for a wax for a long time or is excessively hairy or you are struggling to get around use smaller strips of wax and smaller wax strips too.

If you struggle for room ask your client again to hold the areas apart that you need access too.

if i am doing a larger lady i always always get them to lay flat it makes everything soooo much easier!! Just so everything is a bit more strectched out then you just have more room to work if that makes sense its easier to stretch their skin if they are flatter and not so much in the way. Hope that makes sense! xx

Apply oil. Euroblonde or Escential Rose non strip waxes from Perron Rigot will me much better that strip wax as it isn't sticky.
