Hi,I have recently done my bio training and i am finding that when i apply nno colour the gel shrinks from the free edge slightly on the first coat of colour, i can normally cover it in the second coat but sometimes it happens then. I am capping the edge so i cant understand why this happens? Also can i lightly buff the gel just before the last coat if i have any uneven bumps (colour and french) and then dust off dual cleanse and apply sealer coat or should i not do this ? any help appreciated

I seem to remember from training that if the colour shrinks then you are applying the gel and leaving it too long before putting under lamp, are you doing two fingers at a time? Could this be the case? .x.:)

I dont use bio sculpture, however, some thin coloured gels will slide up the nail plate before you put it in the lamp. Either do 2 nails at a time and freeze them in the lamp for 10 seconds before the uncured gel can slide, or get your client to hold their hand with their nails tips pointing down for a few seconds before putting in the lamp.

Hope this helps.

i work with 2 lamps one for each hand and i lock cure every nail as i do it ...voila no shrinking
