Hiya, I have just had someone book in with me tomorrow for a full set of ext with the coral gel.
I am still practicing (exam soon), and I did not do the tip course because I did it with a prior company and assumed it would be roughly the same.
I have just been sat down looking through the manual and it says to apply sculpture gel before applying the tips, is this essential?
Only during training we were showed how to do overlays, sculptures, etc but its all slightly different in the book.
Any advice would be great as I havent done a single tip extension in months and am really panicking
Thanks

The reason Bio say to apply a layer of gel prior to applying the tip is to protect the natural nail a little when blending the tip....not a bad idea for those still in training but for people who are confident in blending a tip without causing damage to the natural nail; then its not necessary.

Thanks for that. I have actually decided to sculpt, dont know if thats a good idea or not but i am actually better at my sculpting than my tips. Strange coz tips does seem so easy.

I was just about to suggest you sculpt. I suppose it depends on what yu are used to I can sculpt out in Bio way quicker than i can tip! And they are stronger, and I think more natural feeling.
