Hi,

Im doing a set of nails on tuesday and using plastic french tips and going to apply bio sculpture gel over the top!

can any1 tell me how they wud apply this? heard few different ways and just wanted to kno the best way!!

cheers xxx

Honestly, I wouldn't advise using Bio over tips unless you really know what you are doing with the system. Have you trained with Bio?

yeah i trained the other wk but i dont have any other gel to use on tips as all the others have been crap!! wot would u advise? whats the problem with using bio?? xx

I haven't used bio..over tips but it is soo expensive. When I gel my clients I now use bio clear gel as my base then use NSI builder gel for my colors. then either finish with bio S-gel or honestly I am really loving opi soft gel sealer ( the stuff in the blue bottle) I know its 3 difrent products but it has been working beautiful.

If you are yet to do your assessment then do the way you were taught by your tutor (or in your manual) as you may be tested on your procedure. Doing it any other way may confuse you at this stage.

Bio is fine over tips once you know what you are doing, but in all honesty, I think tipping is more difficult than sculpting with Bio. You do need to be able to build a super strong apex, which really only comes with practise, and really only S-gel is strong enough. Oey is right....if you were shown it in your training, stick with what they showed you, otherwise try sculpting.

And from my perspective, I don't find Bio anymore expensive than other systems, (in fact its made me considerably more money than any other, for the amount of clients I get through the door actually requesting it), and I personally wouldn't mix systems as I don't feel it particularly professional to do so. You also could find that, if you had a problem, you are working outside the boundaries of your insurance that way.

thnks guys!

so wud u apply, clear gel, s gel, s gel then topcoat? xx
