That's strange - the images look fine to me on Internet Explorer 7, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox - were you viewing the site on Internet Explorer 6 perchance? As IE6 is incredibly quirky when it comes to handling CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and has known issues with not handling transparent PNG (Portable Network Graphics) images either - and yes, your images are PNG - and so will not appear transparent on IE6 - which could well be why they aren't "blending in" properly - in fact I had a sneaky peek at your site from the office earlier (on IE6) and it looked quite different to it does on IE7, Google Chrome and Firefox - so I suspect that is the issue.

One possible solution (for IE6) may be to try transparent GIF images instead of transparent PNG images - but by far the easiest solution would be to upgrade to IE7, Google Chrome or Firefox. I hate IE6 incidentally, because it's a complete timewaster to tweak web sites to make them work in IE6 when they work perfectly in any other browser... I have the same PNG issue on my salon guinea pig site with the icons in the menu bar in IE6...

Excellent - there does appear to be a workaround for displaying transparent PNG images in Internet Explorer 6 - try this link - IE PNG Fix - TwinHelix - let me know if you want a bit of help with this...

Thanks for that Ruth - I will have a go.....what did you think of the website?

I just had a look at your site and I love the calm, serene feel it has - well done!
The marketing bods will tell you that "the more you tell, the more you sell", so you might want to expand the copy around the treatments and products a bit.
Good luck!

Well it's a lovely looking site, although I'd agree with Lynne (Calla)'s comment that more info on treatments etc would help. But you'd need to balance that with keeping the nice uncluttered look of the site...

Thanks Calla and Ruth for the comments.

I did toy with the idea of pricing lists and description of treatments and special offers etc but as far as Im aware I cant make any alterations to the site....had I had the knowledge of how to put pages together etc...I would have, I was so annoyed at the guy who did it as I had to do the font and colours, send over the pics, etc...he also told me not to bother with lists etc, I now think he just didnt want the hassle of changing my site! .is there a way to edit it?

I have the disc and files on here?

Thanks again Ruth it really is much appreciated and Calla for comments, I will look at it again

Ah, well I have done a "whois" on your domain name fabriziabeauty.com and it is hosted by a company called Krystal Hosting, https://www.krystal.co.uk/

So you could ask them for the login details for your domain - this would then mean that you'd be able to connect via FTP and upload new content etc...

Without the login details, you would not be able to update the site at www.fabriziabeauty.com
